MARCH and APRIL in PE 1 -
Students in all grades have been working on our throwing/catching skills.  4th and 5th grade students just completed our 2nd aerobic capacity (pacer) practice test.  It is important to make sure you continue to go outside, get fresh air, and just play/be active to have fun!  Enjoy the weather spring is here.  I have provided a link below for the Virginia PE State standards with all our PE skills students learn.  I've also added some awesome free home resources.  Let me know if you have any questions.  Our next units of study will be striking (paddles, hockey, balloon volleys, etc)  and basic basketball skills.

A little about myself......
This will be my 14th year teaching Elementary Physical Education.  I was born here and attended PWCS K-12th grade.  When I'm not teaching your wonderful children I love to spend time with my own family.  My wife is a 1st grade teacher in Prince William County as well.  Together we have 2 kids - Jake (4) and Addison (1).  They keep us on our toes most days but in my free time I love working out at a community gym and watching all sports.  My favorite sports are football and baseball (go Notre Dame and Nationals). I played baseball in college for 4 years at Frostburg State University (Maryland).  At the bottom of the page there is a link for you to see how your child will be graded in my class.  Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions and concerns.  I'm looking forward to a very fit and active school year!!!!
