School Wide Focus for November and December: Habit #3 -Put First Things First

Because you are here, anything is possible.

Dear Timberwolves,

It's almost December

Next week, will be our a short week - we will be in school on Monday, November 22 and Monday, November 23.  School will be closed in PWCS from Wednesday, November 24 - Sunday November 28, 2021 for Thanksgiving/Fall Break.  I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.

On Monday, December 6 our PTO will be holding their Virtual PTO Meeting.  They are planning a lot of great events this year.

Our Chorus will perform at Patriot HS on November 14. Mrs. Meyer will send out more information.

Our Student Lighthouse Team is sponsoring a Spirit Week the week of December 13.  They will also be sponsoring a Toys for Tots Campaign.

Winter Break will begin after school on December 17, 2021. Students will return to school on Monday, January 3, 2022.

Masks- Please remember that PWCS (and state of Virginia) required Universal Masking for all our students, staff, and visitors while in the building. We are following the state and county requirement of Universal Masking.  Click link to view the mask requirements. Please remind your students to wear a mask each day.

Daily Home Screening  - Parents/guardians/caregivers are asked to complete this screening each morning prior to a student boarding a school bus or arriving at school. On the Daily Home Screening webpagethey have also included information about how to make decisions about sending a student to school if he/she has been exposed to another person with COVID-19.Questions about the student daily home screening can be directed to Mrs. Ousley, our school nurse.

Medicine – All medicine needs to be dropped off by a parent/guardian to our school office. Students are not allowed to bring medicine into the building themselves.

Please Drive Safely - I need to send out another reminder asking all our families to please drive safely around our school. I want to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and other drivers at all times.

  •  Please always follow the speed limit which is 25 MPH at pick up and drop off times.

·         Please do not enter our school parking lot through the exit lane.

·         Please do not try to pass cars on Kettle Run Road.

·         Please do not drive into our parking from the Patriot High School parking lot as this causes potential issues with cars trying to enter the pick off/drop off lane from all different directions.

·         Please try to avoid using your phones while driving in our car loop.

·         Please continue to remain vigilant of all our students and staff at arrival and dismissal as well as our buses and other drivers.

Thank you for your continued to support to help keep our students, staff, and community members safe.

We are getting ready for an amazing year.  Because YOU are here, ANYTHING is Possible because we are a Community of Leaders and Learners Achieving Excellence.

We truly do everything better together.
